Account Disabled – Violation of BookVillage Rules

FAQs & Troubleshooting

👋 Dear Villagers,

I’m the Sheriff of BookVillage, and if you’re reading this article, it likely means you’ve received the notification:

❌ “Your BookVillage account has been disabled due to rule violations.”

This is a rare but necessary communication. I want to explain what this means, why it happens, and what you can do now.

🛡️ Why Was My Account Disabled?

BookVillage was created to be a safe, merit-based ecosystem fully compliant with Amazon’s guidelines.

To maintain these standards, we have zero tolerance for behaviors that can harm the community.

📌 The most common causes for account disablement include:

🔸 Use or suspected use of fake or manipulated reviewer accounts sourced from freelance marketplaces

🔸 Opportunistic behavior, such as trying to receive reviews while pretending to contribute to others’ promotions without genuine effort

🔸 Posting non-genuine negative reviews intended to harm the reputation or social proof of other Village members

🚫 What Does Disablement Mean?

📌 From the moment you receive the notification:

✅ You will no longer be able to access your BookVillage profile

✅ All your books listed in the Author Office will be permanently banned from being re-added, even under a new account

✅ Your data will be archived to prevent the creation of new accounts linked to the same behaviors

📢 If you had an active paid plan, you will receive a partial refund for any unused days.

🔄 Can I Request a Review?

📢 Yes, but only if:

✅ You believe the disablement was a mistake

✅ You can provide concrete evidence of your good faith

📧 In this case, contact us via email at [support@bookvillage.com] or reply directly to the notification email.

Every request will be carefully reviewed, but the process may take some time.

🛡️ The Village’s Priority: Protecting the Community

📢 BookVillage exists to safeguard the work of serious authors and genuine readers.

The rules are non-negotiable because a healthy and secure environment is the only way to ensure promotions remain effective and sustainable for everyone.

📢 A Word From the Sheriff of BookVillage

"In the Village, there’s no room for shortcuts or dishonest behavior. Those who contribute authentically are always welcome. Those who try to manipulate or harm the community will stay out—forever."
