I Booked an Assignment but Won’t Be Able to Complete It. What Should I Do?
👋 Dear Villagers,
I’m the Minister of BookVillage, and if you’ve realized you won’t be able to complete a booked assignment, don’t worry—we’ve planned for this too.
🕹️ Cancel the Assignment with Just One Click
📌 Go to the Reader Office section and select the specific assignment you can’t complete.
✅ You’ll find an option to cancel it immediately.
With just one click, the assignment will be released and made available for other interested readers.
⚠️ Why Is It Important to Cancel an Assignment?
📢 Every booked assignment represents a promise to support another author.
If you fail to complete it and don’t cancel it in time:
❌ The assignment will automatically expire at the end of the completion window (Day 5–7)
❌ Your contribution won’t be counted
❌ Repeated expirations without cancellation may lead to temporary limitations on your account
🛡️ A Simple but Valuable Gesture
📌 Canceling an assignment you can’t complete:
✅ Helps keep the flow of reviews smooth and fair
✅ Prevents blocking the book for other available readers
✅ Protects the Village’s balance and the trust among members
📢 A Word from the Minister of BookVillage
"If you already know you won’t be able to complete an assignment, don’t wait for it to expire. Cancel it immediately. This keeps your profile active and allows you to continue booking new assignments without interruptions."
