👋 Dear Villagers,
I’m the Minister of Economy, and I know that reading a review you’re not happy with can be frustrating. But it’s important to understand why this happens and how BookVillage handles these situations.
🛡️ BookVillage’s Philosophy: Honest Reviews, Always
📌 BookVillage was created to build a safe, fair, and Amazon-compliant ecosystem. This means:
✅ Every review reflects the reader’s personal perception
✅ We cannot (and will not) influence, modify, or remove reviews
✅ Even a critical review has value—it shows authenticity and helps build credibility around your book
📢 Remember: perception is subjective. A reader might interpret the theme or characters differently than you intended. That’s part of the beauty (and the challenge) of being an author.
❌ Can BookVillage Ask a Reader to Change or Remove a Review?
No.
📌 Asking a reader to alter or delete a review would violate Amazon’s guidelines and put the safety of the entire Village at risk.
🔥 How Does BookVillage Protect You?
📢 While we cannot directly intervene with reviews, BookVillage performs careful “behind-the-scenes” moderation.
✅ Our system identifies and bans the very few profiles that show non-genuine or suspicious behavior.
📌 We don’t disclose the details of these measures because we prefer to keep our strategy confidential, but rest assured—such cases are extremely rare within the community.
🚫 Banning a Reader from Your ARC List
📌 Thanks to the special ARC List feature, you can choose to remove a reader you no longer wish to involve.
✅ Once banned:
• That reader will no longer see your books in their Library
• They won’t be able to book new promotions related to your titles
📢 This gives you greater control over future interactions with the community.
📢 A Word from the Minister of Economy
"The Village is built on trust and reciprocity. Criticism is part of the game, but our silent moderation and the ARC List feature help you maintain control over your reader ecosystem."
