I’m the Minister of BookVillage, and if you’ve accidentally activated a promotion, don’t worry— in many cases, we can help. However, there are a few important rules you need to know.

🕹️ Can I Cancel an Already Activated Promotion?

📌 It depends on the status of the promotion:

🔄 1. Active Promotion (Not Yet Booked by a Reader)

✅ You can cancel it without any issues.

📍 Go to your Author Office, select the active promotion, and click “Cancel Promotion.”

📢 Your book will be removed from the Library and will no longer be visible to other members of the Village.

📘 2. Booked Promotion (Already Reserved by a Reader)

❌ It can no longer be canceled.

📌 Once a reader has booked your promotion, the system has already generated an assignment, and the reader expects to be able to review your book.

✅ 3. Completed Promotion

📢 If the review has already been posted and verified, it obviously cannot be canceled.

⚠️ Why This Rule Exists

BookVillage is designed to maintain stability and trust between authors and readers.

📌 Allowing cancellations after a promotion has been booked would undermine these principles and risk compromising the experience of members who have already committed to an assignment.
