I Can’t Book a New Reader Assignment, Why?

FAQs & Troubleshooting

👋 Dear Villagers,

I’m the Minister of Economy, and I know it can be frustrating to see the message:

❌ “Unable to Book New Assignments.”

Don’t worry. This is not a penalty, but an intelligent system designed to protect your Amazon account and ensure the health of the entire community.

Let’s go through the two main reasons.

📅 1) You’ve Reached the Daily or Weekly Limit

BookVillage applies specific limits to ensure reviews are distributed naturally and in compliance with Amazon’s guidelines.

📌 The limits are:

✅ 1 assignment per day

✅ A maximum of 6 assignments per week per Amazon account

Why these limits?

• 🛡️ To prevent reviewers from posting multiple reviews on the same day—a behavior that, according to our data, increases the risk of Amazon removing reviews.

• ⏳ To maintain a healthy, steady, and balanced flow of reviews.

📢 The Minister of Economy reminds you:

"This is not a race. A slower but steady pace protects both you and the entire community."

⚖️ 2) You’re Creating an Imbalance Between Assignments and Promotions

In addition to daily and weekly limits, BookVillage carefully monitors the balance between:

✅ Completed assignments (reviews you leave for others)

✅ Activated promotions (support you request for your books)

📌 If the system detects that you’re booking and completing far more assignments than promotions you’ve activated or completed, it may trigger a temporary block.

🔥 Why Does This Block Exist?

It’s not a punishment. It’s a strategic measure to:

• 🚦 Prevent excessive accumulation of assignments that could clog the system

• 🔄 Encourage a healthy, steady “give and receive” flow

• 📈 Ensure your future promotions get optimal priority and speed

📊 When Does This Block Activate?

There’s no fixed number, because our algorithm weighs each type of assignment and promotion differently (Unverified, Kindle Unlimited, Verified, etc.).

📌 Generally:

• The block may activate when assignments exceed promotions by anywhere between 8 and 60

• In most cases, it triggers when there’s a gap of at least 25 more assignments than promotions

📌 Practical Example

If your BookVillage account has completed 50 promotions, the block could be triggered if your assignments exceed a threshold between 58 and 110, depending on the type of reviews you’ve been completing most often.

✅ How Do You Unblock the Situation?

📢 The good news: this block is lifted immediately as soon as you start activating new promotions for your books.

🔄 This way:

• You reduce the imbalance between assignments and promotions

• You create room to book new assignments that BookVillage can process

• You restore full alignment with the system

📢 The Minister of Economy reminds you:

"The Village works best when contribution and benefit move together. Restore the balance, and the path will open again."
